Can't Restrain Myself

With my own flight scheduled a mere two months away, I can't help but be partly mystified and mostly enraged with the state of any airport outside of Israel! I mean, seriously!

Both these stories appeared in the Toronto Star. I certainly hope they appeared side-by-side and that someone, nay, anyone! was paying attention!

They just look at you," said Sela. "Even today with the heightened security in North America, they will check your items to death. But they will never look at you, at how you behave. They will never look into your eyes ... and that's how you figure out the bad guys from the good guys."

    So true.

"There is absolutely no intelligence and threat analysis done in Canada or the United States," Sela said. "Absolutely none."

It's always been my belief that we spend too much time and money on airport security. The priority is all wrong. Our resources should be used to stop these attacks before they even make it to the airport. Remember that attack which was broken up in London a couple of years ago? Before they could make it to the airport? Because of good intelligence? Shocking. But then, America has always been reactionary, easily panicked, and easily lulled into a false sense of security.
